Scott was born and raised in Beckley, WV where he was the youngest of 5 children. He was always a huge wrestling and martial arts fan. But his parents didn’t want him getting into them cause they though it would cause him to get into fights.

When he graduated high school he moved to Indianapolis where it wasn’t too long before he ran across Gary Hoyd’s Jeet Kune Do School. He began training with him in June 2002 and fell in love with it. About a year later he got interested in fighting for competition, he started out in amateur boxing and even though he showed promise in it he felt it was too restricting.

After this Gary started training him in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu as well. Later Gary formed Elite Cage Fighting and Scott decided he wanted to fight in mixed martial arts. So he began training harder. On Sept. 17^th he made his mma debut for Elite Cage Fighting.

Scott moved to Naples, FL the beginning of 2006 and now trains under Crafton “Blaze” Wallace.
